Cristina & Antonio opened Rosita & The Sherry Bar on Northcote Road. Feeding the growing fashion for sherry drinking in the UK, this relaxed, modern tapas bar, is the little sister to their original Spanish restaurant on the same street: Lola Rojo. Lola won the title of Best Local Restaurant on Gordon Ramsey’s tv show by the same name in 2008, news which was received with no surprise to its huge loyal following of south London diners.
Our brief from this client:
- Promote a series of special dinners, during the (very short!) calcotada season.
- Increase Social Media following, reach and ROI, to promote the events
- Establish storytelling and customer service activities via Social Media, to continue beyond the calcotada campaign.
- Win editorial coverage for Rosita & The Sherry Bar and increase profile of the restaurant.
G&I created a campaign strategy, which would both promote the calcotada events, while also setting an ongoing rhythm and style of Social Media activity for Rosita. This dual approach included a schedule of outreach and content marketing activities, plus a series of social media training sessions for the restaurant team.
Rosita co-hosted a run of special calcotada dinners, pairing this char-grilled root vegetable (which requires diners to wear bibs while eating) with a selection of handpicked Sherrys. Team G&I were delighted to attend the first of this series of events, to which we invited a selection of our local press and London food & drink media contacts.
This organic Social Media campaign saw Facebook Page likes and Twitter followers, increase by 25% and Instagram followers more than double.
