Social Media Campaign
We were delighted to meet Fran Macmillan, owner of Metro, while carrying out work with the Clapham BID, This is Clapham. Metro is a cornerstone of SW4, a very popular bar and restaurant with the Clapham Glitterati, which plays host to many parties, weddings and special events in the (not-so) secret garden.
- To provide brides & grooms with an opportunity to see the venue in full wedding decoration, and the chance to meet face to face with wedding suppliers.
- To promote Metro Garden as a wedding venue and to showcase selected, local suppliers, to members of the press.
A one day event to promote Metro garden as an affordable, boutique wedding venue. The event featured a carefully selected choice of quality wedding suppliers. Guests were greeted with a glass of prosecco and served canapés in the garden, where they met prospective wedding suppliers and take the opportunity to discuss their big day.
Using the official Metro Garden profiles to lead and drive the social media campaign; activities included press and outreach to 30 wedding bloggers & 50 local press and national titles. The Wedding Fair event guestlist featured over 50 members of the press, from the wedding sector, London titles and local media.
As part of the project to position Metro in the wedding sector, we also delivered an additional project to redevelop and redesign the Metro website on the WordPress platform, within which, Gertrude & Ivy delivered an SEO campaign, including citations.
