Get This : Get Ready for Goldfish on St Johns Hill
It’s been wonderfully busy at Gertrude & Ivy headquarters recently. The Battersea Literature Festival isn’t too far away – we’ve already started planning for a very exciting event at the end of the year (stay tuned) and it’s almost time for the 8th annual St John’s Hill Festival!
The Festival will take place on Sunday September 7th on the pavements of St John’s Hill Battersea (not Clapham, thank you very much!) there will be a selection of visiting stall holders along with all your St John’s Hill favourites. On the same day as the Festival, our friends at FishClub will be celebrating their 10th birthday! It is a huge achievement – congratulations to owners Steve, James & Jack. The full FishClub team will be at the St John’s Hill Festival running one of the Festival favourites: The Great Golden Goldfish Gala – an event I’ve heard lots about since I started working at Gertrude & Ivy.
There will be a bouncy castle at the Festival – I’m yet to find out if adults can bounce – but it’ll definitely be tons of fun for the little ones. Wimbledon’s wonderful Greensleeves Morris Men will be performing and for the grownups (me included) I can’t recommend Ben’s Canteen’s banging bloody mary’s enough – not to mention the Mardi Gras theme at Bar 366 – if the Fabulous Feast is anything to judge by – it’ll be a load of fun!
You can see loads of photos from previous St John’s Hill Festivals here on the official street Facebook page (ably managed by yours truly). If you have any questions about the event or more specifically what you’re looking forward to at the event, please do tweet us @GertrudeAndIvy
See you at the Festival!
