Clapham Works. Yes, it does.

Clapham Works. Yes, it does.
This year team G&I has been very busy, organising Clapham Works – a three week schedule of marketing workshops, talks and events in SW4. This project requires us to manage the campaign, organise the LIVE events, features marketing training throughout, and takes place in southwest London.
Those who know G&I, will agree – this one is right up our street, and we are all looking forward to the opening event on 26th February.
Working on behalf of This is Clapham, the Business Improvement District, managed by Jeremy Keates, the project is brain-child of Fran MacMillan, owner of Metro Garden Restaurant on Clapham Common southside. Fran heads up two sub-groups of This is Clapham: Connect and Promote. The Clapham Works project delivers on both Fran’s remits in capacity as BID Board Member: to facilitate collaboration between businesses for mutual benefit, and to deliver winning campaign activities which boost the profile of SW4.
Clapham Works opens with a virtual event: a one hour Twitter Chat at 11am Friday 26 February. Join the Clapham Twitterati by taking part in conversation via #ClaphamWorks.
The schedule is certainly not a list of dry, boring marketing lessons. The Instameet (a meetup of Instagram users) will be co-hosted by Instagram super-user and local resident, Adam Sheath.
The networking breakfast (Good Morning Twitter, featuring 30 mins of advanced level Twitter marketing tips from me) will be on 10th of March, and kindly hosted by First Lady of Clapham, Fran MacMillan, at Metro Facebook
The iPhonography session will be taken by the talented photographer, Charlie Round-Turner and includes a free headshot (should you wish to have your head shot!), for use as your profile photo on social media.
All the speakers and trainers taking part in Clapham Works, hail from the selection of fellow agencies and marketing professionals in SW4, and I am delighted to be counted among them.
The closing (physical) event of Clapham Works, is the Panel Talk on Tuesday 15 March. This will be the biggest event of the series, taking place in the auditorium at Omnibus (Old Town). The panel features a mix of talented, experienced and respected marketing experts, each from a different sector of our discipline. We are delighted to welcome Gary Buchan from SEO & content marketing agency, Render Positive, Emma Elliot, owner of Chalk PR, and the digital mind and social media marketing record of Cllr Christopher Wellbelove. I shall act as MC for this panel discussion, taking questions from the audience, while I endeavour to encourage my industry colleagues to share the best marketing strategies, latest trends, new insights, valuable forecasts and top tips.
A selection of Clapham Works events are FREE, while others have a small ticket price. These workshops, talks and training sessions are open to all, but booking in advance is essential. You can see the full schedule via ThisisClapham.co.uk and secure your place via EventBrite. Let us know via #ClaphamWorks if we can look forward to seeing you there.
