Four Gentlemen of Fashion You Should Follow
My Instagram feed is currently showing a back-to-back line up of stylish girls and fashionistas. Here comes London Fashion Week and its packed out schedule and front row selfies at the catwalk shows for the A/W16 collections.
The fashion industry can be credited with many innovative uses of social media, and I will be watching for them to be unveiled during Fashion Week.
When I say the word “fashionista”, I immediately think of the internationally known style blogger, Chiara Ferrangi, who this month graces the cover of Italian Vogue.
But who are the male fashion influencers? Can you name any?
Ahead of LFW16, we have selected a British outfit of four gentlemen of fashion, who we believe are “ones to watch”.
Joey London is a fashion and lifestyle blogger whose beautifully curated Instagram feed ticks all the right boxes: sharp style, stunning photography and (occasionally) some pretty sweet dance moves.
Richard James of Saville Row tell their style stories from start to finish on Instagram, from draft drawings of prints to modelling shoots of the end product they cover the whole process. They also share user generated content, making their customers part of the tale.
Young up-and-comer Montell Martin is a fresh face on the runway but is set to be a big name having already modelled for the likes of Alexander MqQueen, Louis Vuitton and Raf Simons. His personality charged feed and his big smile are a refreshing change from the usual poker faced catwalk models.
Neville Gates founded Nevs in 1971 as one of the first model agencies of its kind – they scout both male and female models, and their Instagram is a great place to keep an eye out for the new faces of fashion.
